Hello everybody.
Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Maria. I'm 27 years old. I'm Russian by birth, but live in southern Ireland. By now Ireland is my home since 1. e I've lived here for half my life and 2. I'm an equal society member here as opposed to Russia where blind people are outcasts.
My hobbies are: reading, computer applications such as internet, email and word. I also like socialising with my friends.
Finally I'd like to ask you to bare with me because I suffer from migraine and because of that I may be very active on the boards for a while and then disapear for a while due to seveer migraine attacks which prevent me from going near my pc. Please don't get me wrong. I'm not looking for sympathy. I would symply like to explain in advance why I might not be active on the boards some times. I'll do my very best to answer all your messages in time however.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you

So far I like the athmosphere on these boards. It seems to be very warm and friendly.
I in turn will do my best not to hurt anyone's feelings and not to make anyone feel uncomfortable.

warm and friendly? hehe, your in for a surprise! no i guess on the whole things do stay reasonably amicable however they certainly don't always. but, i suppose you'll discover all that in time. enjoy anyway.
Hey Maria! Nice to meet you. I'm Allie. I don't come on here as often as I used to, but it's nice to read up on the boards sometimes ... to see what people have posted and all that. Right now I'm at guide dog training working with my first guide! *SMILE* So, hopefully, if I can find some time to stop being busy, I'll see you around!

I just want to wish you the best of luck in your guide dog training. I haven't got one myself, but I've got friends who have and I believe the bond you eventually develope is just amasing!

I actually have noticed a bit of friction between users after writing about the warm and friendly atmosphere Dan.
Of course I'm only new here and may not know what's what on these boards yet, but I think that there are more positive messages here than the negative ones.
I'll try and stay out of trouble though. I'm a peace loving person and hate fighting unless it is absolutely necessary.
there's always friction in any given comunity, but this one more than most i think. still, people keep coming here lol.
